Barefoot Sandals

Back in the 60s and 70s, people don’t wear stilettos, sandals, and flip-flops too much, other types of shoes are also hard to come by. People walk around barefooted. It’s fun and they love it.

Forget not the earth delights to feel your bare feet.

Today, with all the supermodel magazines where we see models wearing super high heels, and elegant and expensive shoes, walking in barefoot is kind of awkward. People will surely look at you when you walk in the mall or public places with no shoes or sandals on. In their minds, you must be some kind of beggar or probably lost.

But life in an unexploited island paradise is different.

In Malapascua, our creative Maldito Girls came up with the idea to go barefoot while walking around Kokay’s Maldito restaurant. They love serving our guests barefoot because it’s comfortable and makes them more effective. Later on, they discovered some Barefoot Sandals do-it-yourself instructions around the web and thought about making some for fun and wearing it as a friendship symbol.

Barefoot Sandals vs Shoes: The Difference?

Admit it, shoes or sandals are everywhere! Means they’re boring. And flip flops FLOP. They can hurt your feet, twist your ankle, and trip on steps. They really don’t provide much support especially when you are walking around a fine sandy beach. Sandals also make some slappy sounds. It will float in the water and slip off your feet.

Generally, sandals are not very COOL.

  1. I love your barefoot sandals. I love to walk and run barefoot. I made my own barefoot sandals to be able to enter stores and businesses that want patrons to wear shoes. Here in the U.S. many people are prejudiced against barefeet, think that barefeet are unsanitary, and some businesses think they will be sued if a patron steps on sharp objects on the floor.
Gradually, more people are going barefoot and there is more awareness of earthing and the health benefits of going barefoot. Barefoot sandals help so much.

  2. Dear Nelson
